1) Why do some guys get so shy about going and talking to girls? Like I was at this party last night and there was this guy there. He kept looking over at me but never talked to me. ???

2) What is the best way to approach a guy? A pickup line? Or just a hello? or what?

3) What are some good ways to pick up guys at the beach or at a pool? There was this lifeguard that I wanted to talk to but...I didnt know how to approach him.

It's understood that it's primarily the man's job to initiate conversation with a woman he finds attractive. Whether it be at a bar or party or anywhere else. In this particular case, the guy was obviously shy (or staring at someone behind you) and didnt know how to "feel you out", so to speak. It sounds like he was interested but was too nervous to dig for a little bit of information. Let's be honest, most girls like to play those games man.

As far as approaching guys, I'd advise against it. If you want a guy with some shred of confidence, you'll wait for him to come up to you. Your best bet, in the meantime, is to keep shooting him flirty looks and try to separate yourself from your friends. It's mad intimidating going up to a girl when she's surrounded by her friends. If you insist of being the first one to speak, a simple "hey, whats up" should be enough. Let him take it from there.
About the lifeguard, sometimes they just dont want to talk back, ya dig? Again, the "digging for information" concept works both ways. That's why people make money writing books on this stuff, cause it's so complicated. Your best bet is to just pop a few e-pills and let your brain take it from there.

I'd be flattered personally....girls come up to me and talk to me all the times...
I'll tell you what...it's a lot eaier for a girl to come up and talk to a guy because 80% of the guys will not reject a girl. It's unorthordox....so it's interesting.

Just smile at him and say hello, look into his eyes with a sweet, pleasant smile! Ask him how he's doing and how his day has been. The rest of the convo will flow easily. If you want him to be more comfortable around you then you have to make sure you are comfortable around him, your energy will rub off on him and make him feel at ease around you.
